Occupancy Marketing

Occupancy Marketing work closely with the hospitality industry to maximise visibility of their websites on the internet. The Problem

Mark Forrester, Managing Director of Occupancy Marketing, recently came to Ezone for help with a problem one of his clients was having. "Before we can effectively market a site we need to ensure that it is correctly set-up. This includes the ability to regularly update its content as well as configuring aspects of its design to exploit the rapidly changing idiosyncrasies of the major search engines. Unfortunately, one of our clients (a Scottish Hotel Group), having spent a considerable sum on development was left with a site that made it extremely difficult to carry out the required changes."

£15,000 had been spent developing the website and bespoke content management system (CMS). Due to a discontinuation of the relationship between the client and developers, the client found themselves in the unenviable position of dealing with proprietary technology that was fast becoming out of date, with no means of technical support.

Ezone's Solution

"I originally approached Ezone on behalf of my client to see if they could decipher the existing situation" said Mark. "It soon became apparent that the best solution was to bring the entire operation under the control of the Ezone WMS. Within 3 days they had managed to build a new site using the WMS. Although this new site mirrored the style and architecture of the previous one, they also provided extra functionality. Location maps and online booking were added, and all for a tenth of the price of the original development." The entire migration from the flawed system to the WMS was completed in less than 2 weeks.

"Using the WMS made it simple for me to tailor the site for internet marketing, and with minimal training the client's staff are now able to maintain the content without the need for a webmaster/agency." In the wake of these improvements the client's website traffic has increased by 400% over a 5 month period.
